Vitcas® White Pipe Jointing Compound for use with hot and cold water (non-potable duties), natural gas and low pressure steam up to 7 bar pressure and temperatures up to 200oC. Conforms to BS EN 751-2 :1997 to BS6956 Part 5: 1992

White Pipe Jointing Compound is non-hardening material for sealing pipe threads in plumbing. White Pipe Jointing Compound is designed for use with hot or cold water, natural gas, LPGas and low pressure steam. It is not recommended for portable drinking water. The jointing compound will not cause corrosion of aluminium, brass, copper, low carbon steel or zinc surfaces.

Application

  • Ensure that threads are clean and free from burrs, grease, dirt or any other contamination. Apply the compound evenly over the male thread. The compound also acts as a lubricant which helps pipe threads to be screwed tight.
