Vitcas® Liquid PTFE is an anaerobic single component product suitable to seal metal threaded joints. The product provides instant low-pressure sealing and cures spontaneously and rapidly when confined in absence of air between close metal surfaces. Cured compound is solvent and water resistant and can withstand temperatures to 150°C. The low mechanical strength allows disassembling with hand tools.

INFORMATION ON POLYMERISATION:

The speed of cure will depend on two main factors: The kind of material(s) and ambient temperature. The graph below shows the strength developed with time on different metals. The different materials have been tested according to ISO 10964.

The speed of cure will depend on ambient temperature. The ideal temperature range of cure is from +20°C to +25°C. Low temperatures from +5°C to +20°C reduce speed of reaction, higher temperatures will increase the speed.

For use with all metal threads in cold and hot water, gas and compressed air systems. Cures rapidly, sealing thread gaps to 0.3mm
